Yay!!! Goa it is! A trip that I had been looking forward to for a very long time. It wasn’t that I never made any Goa plan but I didn’t find any luck. So, after several failed plans, when you finally get a green signal for your much-awaited trip, you reach cloud nine (or get into a state of blissful happiness), such was my situation.

I started looking out for the venue and must-visit places in Goa and read all the blogs that would make my trip the best one. I just wanted to make the most out of this trip!

What’s not in Goa! Beach beauty, adventure, water sports, casino, partying, nightlife, biking – everything you would want for a perfect break!

Goa provides you with a perfect blend of fascinating stories, enthralling activities, amazing scenic beauty, glitzy parties that you would love for sure. You will definitely enjoy a new set of experiences every other day when in Goa.

We had a short trip but we tried to cover all the popular places that are must-visits. And these places would amaze you!

Goa Beaches

What’s the foremost thing that comes to your mind when you think of Goa? Beaches, isn’t it? It’s not like you visit a beach or two and you are done, as each one of them is different and must be visited. Anjuna, Calangute, Baga, Morjim, and Ashwem are the beaches that lie in North Goa and Palolem, Colva, Benaulim, Betalbatil, etc. lie in South Goa. The beaches in North and South Goa are completely different. If you are looking for more of a relaxing trip, scenic drives, and tranquillity you should definitely opt for South Goa. While if you are more of a party person and looking for some great nightlife, jazzy parties, shopping, liveliness, and water sports, North Goa it is. So, it’s your call whether your mood for the day is to just watch the sunset and relax, or it is to party hard, or simply beach-hopping or enjoy water sports.

My plan for Goa was beach-hopping while enjoying the sunset in the beach shack with some great food, music, and dance. So, for me, it was North Goa!

We stayed in Candolim as it has one of the best beaches with a calm and serene atmosphere and is less crowded. If you are looking for some crowd and party vibe, Baga and Anjuna is the place for you! There are other beaches as well that you should visit when in North Goa: Calangute, Morjim, and Arambol.

Party at Thalassa

Goa offers you hundreds of clubs to dance, eat, and party all night. North Goa has one of the most amazing and exciting nightlife that starts from nightclubs and beach shacks with non-stop music, delicious food, great ambiance, dizzy neon lights, and fancy drinks.

There are many party places in Goa but I loved Thalassa and I guess Thalassa would be on everyone’s checklist while visiting Goa. You cannot miss this place! This place throws an amazing party atmosphere with live performances and great music. Activities such as fire show, belly dance, traditional Greek performance, electronic dance music, and delectable cuisine make Thalassa a place to celebrate life.

Thalassa has become a crowd puller not just for the young generation but everyone because of its delicious Greek food and the incredible party atmosphere that is worth the hype.

Watch Sunset at Chapora Fort

This is the famous Dil Chahta Hai spot that no one would miss. It has become one of the must-visit places for a complete Goa tour. The best time to visit the fort is during Sunset as you can trek and settle on a spot, and watch the beautiful sunset. This is one of the places to visit with your friends, partner, or family.

Lunch at Olives Bar and Kitchen

Olives Bar and Kitchen has one of the most scrumptious food menus. You would want to visit this place more than once for sure. You are going to love the ambiance, food, vibe, music, everything at this place. This has been ranked as one of the hottest destinations of Goa in 2021. I would recommend you to try these dishes (if you are a vegetarian): Water Chestnut and Babycorn Tacos, Ravioli. And if you love seafood and cocktails, there can be no better place than Olives.

We visited many other restaurants as well but this was my favorite!

Dinner at Brittos

Brittos is the perfect place for sharing a drink over a wonderful meal and watching the sunset. The place offers you live entertainment, karaoke, and barbecue. The place has a beach shack section which is ideal for families and couples to spend some special moments together or have a candle-night dinner. Brittos also offers tempting desserts and pastries, so do try them out!

Get High at Curlies

Curlies is one of the most popular beach shacks and clubs in Goa. Trance music with electro-beach parties are the light of this place. The beauty of Anjuna beach, beautiful sunset, lively music, fire show, neon lights, and a great ambiance are spot-on to relish every moment at this place. As the sun sets, Curlies converts from a beachside restaurant to a semi-club with electronic music and UV lights. If you are looking for a sundowner and electric dance floor, Curlies would be one of the best places to hang out with your friends.

Shiva Valley is also one of the amazing clubs that should be on your list. It’s located just next to Curlies. This is one of the iconic party places in Goa and is regarded as a Temple of Trance. You would be mesmerized with its one-of-a-kind psychedelic scenes every Tuesday night. So, Goa would not disappoint you even on weekdays!

Casinos

If you love Casinos, Goa is the place for you! I am more of a beach and party person, so Casino was out of my list. But if you plan to go Casino, Deltin Royale is the best but you will have to arrange for the passes beforehand.

One of the most intriguing things that I found about Goa was the way petrol and diesel were sold in a can or bottle in grocery stores. As per the locals, Goa had very few fuel stations which turned out to be more of a tradition now. So, buying a bottle of fuel from a convenience store would be something new to experience 😀

Whether you consider yourself a party animal, beach person, pleasure seeker, or foodie, Goa has a lot to offer. From the beautiful shores of its beaches and greenery of its countryside to its delectable food; Goa is certainly a destination that one should definitely visit!
